Move day, in order
Six stages, one crew lead
The same person who walks through your home with you leads the crew on the day, so nothing agreed in the survey gets lost between the office and the truck.
Walk-through
In person or by video, we go room by room and note heavy pieces, stairs, parking, tight turns and anything fragile or sentimental.
Written quote
The crew size, vehicle, hours and packing scope are all in writing. Any change is agreed with you before move day, not on the doorstep.
Pack week
We drop off materials and a colour label for each room. Crew packing for kitchens and fragiles can be booked on its own.
Load
Floors and doorframes are protected and furniture is wrapped. Rooms load as lanes, and every piece is on the inventory sheet.
Drive
Your crew lead confirms the arrival window with you directly. The inventory sheet travels in the cab, not in a back office.
Place & reassemble
Beds first, then the kitchen, then everything else to the room on its label. The runners, wrap and empty cartons leave with us.

These are the small jobs that make a big difference on the day, in the order they're worth doing.

- Decide what isn't coming and book a disposal run
- Measure tight doorways at the new place
- Check parking or loading rules at both ends

- Defrost and dry the freezer 24 hours ahead

Short-term storage when your move-out and move-in dates don't line up.

Beds, wardrobes, desks and shelving taken down and put back up, with fixings bagged.
Donation & disposal
Anything that isn't coming is taken to donation or responsible disposal on the same day.
Appliance prep
Washers secured and fridges moved upright. Hookups are left for your installer.
Questions
Before you book
These are the questions people ask most often during a walk-through.
How far ahead should I book?
Three to four weeks gives you the widest choice of dates. Month-end and weekend dates fill first. Mid-month weekdays are usually easier to get at shorter notice.
Will you quote without seeing my home?
We need a walk-through, either in person or on a short video call. That is how we can give you a fixed-scope quote rather than an estimate that shifts on the day.
What happens if the move takes longer than quoted?
Your quote says what it covers. If something outside that scope comes up, your crew lead talks it through with you and agrees it before any extra work starts.
How do you handle fragile and valuable pieces?
Fragiles are packed in paper and marked on the inventory. Artwork, glass and stone can be crated. We ask you to carry jewellery, documents and small valuables yourself.
Is there anything you won't move?
We don't carry fuel, gas bottles, paint thinners, other flammables or open food. Plants can come on local moves. Long drives are hard on them, so we'll advise you case by case.
Can you store things between move-out and move-in?
Yes. The storage bridge extra holds your wrapped and labelled items until the new place is ready, then delivers them room by room like any other move.
Do I need to be there the whole time?
Please be there for the opening walk-round and the final check at each end. In between, a trusted person with authority to make decisions can stand in for you.
